LEIDEN CENTER FOR ULTRAMICROSCOPY
The Leiden Center for UltraMicroscopy (LCU) is a hot spot in the development and application of high-resolution microscopy techniques, both for cutting-edge fundamental research as well as for a growing number of application-oriented projects. To achieve this, the LCU stimulates the exchange of expertise and ideas between the participating research groups and serves as a supporting base for novel collaborations. The Center’s main target is to develop high-quality instrumentation and methodology for high-resolution microscopy, in order to study a wide variety of fascinating subjects, ranging from solid state physics to life science.
